Desiree Autrey's Academy of Performing Arts is a premiere dance studio offering a range of classes from toddler to adult, including competition-level courses. DAAOPA came to us with a vision: to create a website that would be as energetic, passionate, and engaging as its studio and the community it serves.

The Challenge

DAAOPA needed a site that could serve multiple functions:

1. Showcase their wide range of dance styles and classes

2. Provide an up-to-date schedule for all classes

3. Allow for easy online registration and printable forms

5. Align with their bold and energetic branding

The Solution

Visual Aesthetics

Keeping DAAOPA’s bold and dynamic brand in mind, we decided to go for a bright pink and black color scheme. This choice was not only eye-catching but perfectly encapsulated the studio’s vibrant energy.

User Experience

We used Squarespace to ensure a smooth user experience, with easy navigation that allows parents, students, and potential clients to find the information they need with minimal clicks.

Functionality

Up-to-date Schedule: Integrated a calendar feature that can be easily updated to display class times, special events, and competitions.

Online Registration: Included an online registration portal, making it easier for students to secure their spots in desired classes.

Printable Forms: For those who prefer traditional methods, we included an option to print registration forms directly from the website.

Showcase Gallery: A dedicated section for showcasing performance photos, achievement highlights, and testimonials to engage the community.

The Result

The website is more than just a source of information; it's an extension of the DAAOPA community. With its bold colors, easy navigation, and multi-functional design, it serves as a hub for students, parents, and the entire performing arts community to engage, communicate, and thrive.
