Hillside Artisan Bakery is a conceptual bakery specializing in a wide array of bread, from classic varieties to sourdough and seasonal specialties. They approached us to build a demo site that captures the essence of their craft while offering essential features such as a detailed menu and contact information.

The client needed a website with the following elements:

1. Reflect the rustic, artisan nature of their bakery

2. Showcase their extensive range of bread and seasonal specialties

3. Include essential pages: Home, Menu, About/Contact

4. Utilize backgrounds that complement the bakery's aesthetic, such as chalkboard and crumpled paper textures.

The Solution

Visual Aesthetics

To complement Hillside's artisanal, rustic vibe, we chose backgrounds featuring chalkboard and crumpled paper textures. These tactile visuals give an authentic and cozy feel to the site.

User Experience

As always, we used Squarespace to ensure a smooth and enjoyable user experience. The site includes the following:

• Home Page: Captures the spirit of Hillside Artisan Bakery with stunning visuals and an introductory write-up.

• Menu Page: Features a detailed list of bread varieties, including sourdough options and seasonal specials, to tantalize the taste buds.

• About/Contact Page: Offers information about the bakery's history, mission, and easy ways to get in touch.
